When I arrived at Jim Click, Eric and another salesman were standing outside the showroom. Eric immediately came up to me and introduced himself and asked me how he could help me. He also explained it was his third day on the job and he would be asking the more experienced salesman questions. I explained that I had been driving Mazda Miata’s for over 30 years and felt it was time to look at a Mazda SUV. I had done research and was interested in looking at a CX-50 hybrid.
Then Eric did something - he asked me if I wanted a REALLY GOOD SOUND SYSTEM. And I said yes. When Eric asked me a personal question, I knew he was going to be the salesman I wanted to work with.. We talked about music and how we “performed” in the car as opposed to just singing. 48 hours later
I drove home with my new Mazda CX-50.
Eric has a way with people and that’s what a salesman needs to have.
